David Bookbinder joins the Alliance Advisory Council

20.01.2023

The Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness is delighted to welcome David Bookbinder to our Advisory Council.

David became Director of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations in 2014, before which he held policy posts at the Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland, the Scottish Government (in a temporary capacity) and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations. His housing career began at the London Borough of Hillingdon in the 1980s and then at Age Concern England.

The Advisory Council support and challenge our Alliance Leadership Team as we work to transform services across the city and deliver creative and innovative solutions to end homelessness. David joins a group of experts and changemakers who bring significant experience and knowledge across homelessness and contributory areas. Other members include Sir Harry Burns and Dr Ligia Texia, CEO of Centre for Homelessness Impact.

On joining the Advisory Council, David says:

‘The provision of good housing support is critical to tenancy sustainment for housing associations, and the work of the Alliance is therefore of huge importance to GWSF and its members.’
